1 stadium down, 20 to go

As I sit here on the couch in the home of Larry and Charlene Anderson (aka - Uncle Red and Auntie Char), there is really only one thought floating through my mind. I am really, really tired! After Senior Grad Night, I was met my by father and Dan, who ushered me into my car at 4 AM this morning. They were running on only a few hours of sleep themselves, but that was, of course, a few hours more than I had gotten. But nonetheless, after a few weary-eyed 'goodbyes,' we departed because we had a 12:30 first pitch at Angel Stadium to make.

Today's game was fairly interesting in itself. Angels' pitcher, John Lackey, retired the first ten batters he faced, until my cousin Erik mentioned something about it in the fourth inning, and Cirillo singled into center and Michael Cuddyer proceeded to take Lackey deep to left for the Twins' first runs of the day. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about those stats, my mind is still a little hazy from the drive and the sun, which pretty much kicked me in the pants today. But that's what happens to a redheaded kid that doesn't wear sunscreen in southern California.

That's about all for now, everybody. I'm heading out to dinner with my uncle, cousin and father and probably a few games of our family card game, "Oh Hell!" I have to rest up for tomorrow. Dodgers vs. Padres at Petco Park. Normally, I wouldn't be rooting for either of these teams, but I am first and foremost a Giants' fan, which means that any and every team that can "Beat LA!" is fine by me. So for one game I will cheer alongside my cousin. Go Pads!
