The Great Baseball Roadtrip of 2007 Begins

Hello everyone,

For those of you that don't know me, my name is Trafton and I'm here with my friend Dan, and this summer (starting at the crack of dawn on June 6th) we will embark on a two-month road trip around the nation to visit as many possible Major League ballparks as we can fit in. Pretty crazy, I know, but we've wanted to do this pretty much since the 7th grade and now that we are both graduating seniors we are finally going to do it.

Here's the basic rundown of the trip. Seeing as we both live in the Bay Area, we're going to start in San Francisco and head down south to LA and San Diego. Then we're heading east passing through Arizona, Texas and ending in Atlanta. We'll take a weekend trip down to see firsthand how few people watch baseball games in both Tampa Bay and Miami. And then we head north to Baltimore (not DC unfortunately) and into New England. We'll have some extra time in New England so hopefully we will stop by Cooperstown and watch the all-star game with some friends up there. Then we'll make our way back west passing through Cleveland, Chicago (where we're going to see the Giants play at Wrigley!!), and Milwaukee. After that, a little backtracking to Cincinnati, then St. Louis, Kansas City and finally Denver where we will meet up with my family share all of our stories.

So there you have it. I'll post a more detailed list including when we will be where a little bit later just in case anyone actually gets interested and wants to go to a ball game with us. We'll be documenting our trip by posting all of the crazy stories and people we will undoubtedly encounter on this Blog, and we will also be taking lots of pictures and video. I'll probably be the one checking in on the Blog, while Dan will be posting all of our videos on youtube.com. So you can check us out there as well.

Thanks for reading and, who knows, maybe I'll see you on the road sometime.
